Kirsten’s yoga journey began here at the Wheaton Sport Center, as a way back to a strong core after having her two children. On her mat she found a calm amidst the chaotic joy of being home with her two preschool children. Upon returning to the workplace her desire and need to be centered only increased. As a result, she took the leap to become 200 RYT certified in 2019. Kirsten loves bringing balance to each pose, flow, class, and day. Taking lessons learned on your matt with you into all areas of your life. 200hr Certified. At the club since: 2020
Maggie found yoga shortly after her daughter was born with medical complexities. Yoga became not only a physical outlet, but an emotional one as well. After 2 years of focusing on her own practice, Maggie became certified to teach yoga, and has now been teaching kids and adults of all levels for the past 8 years. Maggie teaches classes that link breath to movements (poses) in order to achieve focus, balance and restoration. At times, Maggie will offer hands- on assists to help students align postures or enhance surrender or comfort Maggie has 2 kids, teaches third grade full-time and also tutors and teaches yoga. Maggie believes that kindness, patience and even a sense of humor can be integral to one’s individual yoga practice. At the club since: 2019
