Carrie began taking yoga and aqua aerobics classes at the Sport Center 20 years ago, never dreaming that one day she would be leading those classes! Carrie is a professional violinist and orchestra conductor, and came to yoga in her mid-40’s. She has discovered the myriad benefits of a yoga practice, especially in building an awareness of not only how the physical body moves and changes, but the inner workings of the mind. She is excited to help yogis of all levels find progress in their bodies and in the ability to take a step back from the distractions of everyday life. Carrie holds a 500 hour certification through Yoga Alliance, and an active certificate with the Aquatic Education Association. She also occasionally travels to tropical resorts, where she serves as the Yoga/Aqua teacher in residence. At the club since 2019

Corie graduated from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana with a background in Health Planning and Administration and has always had a passion for helping others feel their best through movement and exploring the mind-body connection.
