WSC Gives Back
WSC is an active supporter of several local charities. Some of the organizations we collaborate with each year include: Ronald McDonald House Charities, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Outreach Community Ministries, American Association of University Women, Soles for Souls, and more. In 2016, we also supported Tennis Thanks the Troops, Rally for a Cure, and Cal’s Angels for Pediatric Cancer. In addition, we provide donations to over 50 local school and charity events for their annual fundraisers.

Molly joins the WCS tennis team as a lifelong competitive tennis player and coach of many years. Molly played college tennis at Ball State during her Freshman year and then transferred to Taylor University where she played #1 singles and #1 doubles for all 3 seasons. Molly was named NAIA All-American and placed in top spots in several ITA tournaments. Prior to college, Molly was a competitive nationally ranked junior player, reaching Indiana’s #1 spot in her age division several times. At Carmel High School she led her team to 3 state championships and 1 doubles state championship with a high school record of 101-2. Molly works full-time in the non-profit sector and also coaches the Wheaton Academy Girls Tennis Team. She is a PTR certified tennis professional. At the club since: 2022

As a former high school varsity tennis player and lifelong lover of the game, Russ joins our team to follow his passion for tennis. He is an advocate for players developing flexibility, fitness and footwork, and believes that these are keys to longevity in the sport. Russ has always been an enthusiastic learner and he looks forward to using his experience and training to improve, inspire and bring more people into the amazing sport of tennis. Mike joins the WSC team of Tennis Professionals with over 25 years of experience as a Tennis Professional, a Tennis Program Director, and a Tournament Director. Originally from Michigan, Mike has taught both juniors and adults of all ages and levels. He has a lifelong passion for tennis as both an accomplished player and coach. Among his on-court accomplishments, Mike has won multiple singles and doubles tournaments, including the USTA Mixed Doubles 8.0 National Championships and have coached players who have earned scholarships and advanced to Division I college competition. He is a USPTA certified tennis professional. At the club since 2023.

Anne joined Wheaton Sport Center as a teaching professional in May 2013. She is a PTR Certified Professional in 10&Under, 11-17 and Adult Tennis Development. Past experience in coaching teams was at both Glenbard South High School and Elmhurst College. Additionally she coached 2 USTA Junior Teams that qualified for Midwest Sectionals. She is the USTA Junior Team Tennis West Suburban League Coordinator for Chicago and a member of the Wilson Tennis Advisory Staff. At the club since: 2013

Tennis Professional Morrie is a PTR certified Tennis Professional since 2009. Because of his passion for tennis, he has been a student of the game and really enjoys teaching all levels of players. Morrie has been involved in the tennis community for a number of years. He has been a USTA captain and an NITTL coordinator. He has also coordinated in-house leagues and groups at other clubs. Morrie created the online application that is used by the Northern Illinois Traveling Tennis League (NITTL), Greater Suburban Indoor Tennis League (GSITL), and the Fox Valley Women’s Tennis League (FVWTL). Alyssa moved to Wheaton in 2021 from Chicago and has been a Wheaton Sport Center member since 2022. She has a husband, two kids, and shorkie. Originally a Pickleball player, she has now joined the WSC Tennis Team as a Tennis Administrator. You’ll see her around WSC enjoying the pickleball pavilion, a variety of group classes and now tennis! Lydia holds dual roles in WSC tennis as both a Tennis Administrator and a Tennis Coach. She’s an accomplished tennis player, competing in collegiate tennis at Wheaton College (’25). While at Wheaton College, Lydia earned a Conference Championship in her senior season (2024-2025). In high school, she was a two-time State singles qualifier, four-time All-Conference honoree, four-time team MVP, Section Champion in 2017 and 2018, State Quarterfinalist in 2017. Growing up in Minnesota, she love all things outdoors, especially spending time on the lakes! Lydia’s coaching experience includes working with youth over the course of many high school and college summers and Assistant Coach for the Wheaton College Women’s Tennis team, as well as a coach for both group and private lessons at WSC. She is passionate about staying active and love that tennis is a lifelong sport, whether you’ve never picked up a racket or are an experienced player! At the club since 2025

Lead Racquet Stringer – As the Lead Racquet Stringer, Jane coordinates our racquet stringing service and uses her expertise to efficiently string racquets and advise members on stringing and equipment. Jane began stringing racquets in 2017and since has strung over 5,000 racquets. She is PTR Certified. She attended DePauw University & National Louis University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters in Teaching, respectively. Jeff is both a PTR and a USPTA certified professional and a member of the United States Racquet Stringer’s Association. He has been stringing tennis racquets since 1988. In addition to stringing racquets here at WSC, Jeff has coached high school tennis for over 20 years and has been the Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach at Fenton High School for over 13 years. He started playing tennis as a junior and still loves to compete – you’ll find him hitting on the WSC courts and he plays on three WSC USTA teams.
