Wheaton Sport Center exists to be a thriving community presence by expanding and adopting to the ever-changing needs of the community.


We take our member’s club experience very seriously. We are constantly upgrading and evolving the club to meet and exceed your fitness and wellness needs. Come in and see us!
WSC is an active supporter of several local charities. Some of the organizations we collaborate with each year include: Ronald McDonald House Charities, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Outreach Community Ministries, American Association of University Women, Soles for Souls, and more. In 2016, we also supported Tennis Thanks the Troops, Rally for a Cure, and Cal’s Angels for Pediatric Cancer. In addition, we provide donations to over 50 local school and charity events for their annual fundraisers.

Corie is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor, completing intensive courses on mat, reformer, Cadillac, chair and barrels. Corie was first introduced to Pilates reformer as a way to recover from an injury and quickly fell in love with the practice and its emphasis on alignment and body control. She looks forward to sharing the Pilates principles with clients to help them achieve balance and strength from the inside out. Corie graduated from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana with a background in Health Planning and Administration and has always had a passion for helping others feel their best through movement and exploring the mind-body connection. Denise So started yoga as a form of catharsis and this practice eventually became second nature to her. She believes that yoga exists as a way to connect us all – dissolving separation within and without. She holds certifications in vinyasa, HIIT Pilates & Hot Flow. In her spare time, she is an avid baker, loves indoor rock climbing, drawing, sampling music, reading and has a penchant for small Japanese collectables such as Sonny Angels, Pusheen and keychains of animals stuck in food. Gail has 32+ years of AFFA fitness certification and is certified in mat based Pilates by Physical Mind Institute. She holds a Peak Pilates certification for comprehensive beginner/intermediate levels for Reformer and all aparatuses. At the club since: 2007

Meghan is thrilled to join the Wheaton Sport Center community! Meghan is a University of Wisconsin, Madison graduate and has 15 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry, including managing multi-location boutique facilities, as well as large scale gyms. Her experience spans people management, operations, member services and overall development and execution of programming, scheduling and training. Meghan is excited to join a vibrant and local community gym that embodies so many aspects of wellness. She hopes to bring fresh ideas, connection and growth for herself and Wheaton Sport Center. In addition to her fitness management background, Meghan has been teaching yoga in the western suburbs for 15 years. She has written and co-led multiple yoga teacher trainings during her tenure as an instructor and manager. She will be teaching in The Studio on Wednesday afternoons and hopes to see you on your mat! Outside of work Meghan loves spending time with her daughter, practicing yoga and traveling to Wisconsin to visit her family. At the club since 2024
Kelly discovered pilates during her dance training and soon developed a desire to share it with others. She began her teaching career in New York City in 2004 and over the last twenty years has taught both classes and private sessions. As an instructor, her focus is personalizing pilates to meet the needs of each individual or group. She wants her clients to build strength and body awareness that makes them feel energized and agile in their daily lives. Kelly enjoys teaching the fundamentals to beginners, challenging experienced students to reach new levels, and providing effective workouts to those with physical limitations. She is certified through Stott Pilates in mat, reformer, cadillac, chair, and barrels. Kelly also has a BA from Hope College where she studied Dance and Communication. At the club since 2024

With over 30 years of experience across the full spectrum of the fitness industry, Julie Zinkus is known for her exceptional ability to connect and empower clients as well as deliver extraordinary service. Her career has spanned from working with Division I athletes to supporting special populations, including women looking to reclaim their strength and seniors focused on active aging. Julie has dedicated her career to delivering results through personalized, science-based solutions. As the former Fitness Director at Wheaton Sport Center (2000–2009), Julie built a legacy of leadership and innovation. In 2013, her boutique training company, Flexible Fitness, was honored as Small Business of the Year by the City of Wheaton—a testament to her professionalism, impact, and client-first approach. Julie’s expertise also includes Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT), women’s pelvic floor health, and functional fitness, making her uniquely equipped to serve clients who expect a holistic and elevated approach to health and wellness. Leslie Krueger has always had a passion for fitness, especially after competing in multiple sports, including collegiate softball. Leslie has also completed 3 sprint triathlons and 4 half-marathons and juggles being a mom of three children. After leaving a desk job in 2019, Leslie decided it was time to bring her passion for fitness to others. Leslie is certified in AFAA and CPR/AED. She started at WSC as a Group Ex Instructor early 2020, and she joined the ZONE360 team June 2020. Leslie loves being outside chasing her children, baking all sorts of fun treats (it’s all about balance!) or being on the water. ACE Personal Training Certified At the club since 2020.

With a decade of experience in the fitness industry, Michelle has been a certified personal trainer since 2015 and has successfully trained over 100 clients with a wide range of goals and abilities. Her background includes leading dynamic group fitness classes such as spin, HIIT, step aerobics, and strength training, while also creating engaging and results-driven workouts for all fitness levels. In addition to personal training, Michelle is a Certified Nutrition Specialist with advanced certifications in special populations and special needs nutrition. She takes a well-rounded approach to health and wellness, combining effective training methods with personalized nutrition guidance to help clients build sustainable, long-term results. Abby’s extensive swimming career began in high school, where she competed in Breaststroke, Backstroke, the 200-meter Individual Medley, and the Individual Medley Relay. During this time, she qualified for Nationals, Regional, Sectionals, and State. She also competed in lifeguard competitions, both locally and out of state. Abby continued swimming throughout college and went on to compete in triathlons, an Ironman, and numerous other swimming competitions across the nation. Abby’s love of swimming led her to pursue a career in instructing, where she accepted a position as an assistant coach for a community swim team. She later became an assistant coach working with a Special Olympics swim team. Abby has several years of experience working as an Elite Swim Instructor. She instructs both children and adults at all levels. Her passion is to inspire anyone that wants to improve their abilities, whether that is being competitive on a swim team or learning lifesaving skills. She hopes to be there every step of the way.
