Danielle started practicing yoga as a teenager and has been hooked ever since. She trained at Kula yoga project in NYC in alignment based vinyasa and has been teaching since January 2012. After having her first child she did a prenatal/postnatal teacher training program at Bliss Baby yoga. She also likes to mix in barre and Pilates, with plenty of focus on the breath. Elisa Carter emigrated from the Netherlands more than 30 years ago. She is bilingual, has traveled/lived abroad to various countries while holding various executive level management positions working in the corporate world. She is passionate about sharing the healing practice of Spring Forest Qigong when she retired to help others live a healthier life. She is the president of her own company, AZUL-Moving Healing Energy Through Strength and Calm with Qigong, LLC, in Wheaton IL. She is a Certified Qigong Practice Leader, Certified in Level 1 and Level 2 under the teachings of Spring Forest Qigong (SFQ), Master Chunyi Lin. SFQ is a revolutionary approach to the ancient Chinese teachings, revised and enhanced for the 21st Century. While preserving the authentic practice of Qigong, Master Chunyi Lin created SFQ to help everyone live a life of optimal health, wellness, and happiness. At the club since 2025
Heather is thrilled to join the team of yoga instructors at Wheaton Sport Center. She decided to pursue her 250 hour certification through Prairie Yoga after seeing how much a consistent yoga practice benefited all aspects of her life. As a five-year member of the club, Heather has been influenced and inspired by the many wonderful teachers at WSC and looks forward to sharing the joyful gift of yoga to those who join her for practice. Off the mat, Heather enjoys traveling, dancing, and going for nature walks and bike rides with her husband, three children, and dog. At the club since: 2022
A runner and triathlete, Jeannie started her yoga journey to build stamina and flexibility. The quiet of the practice coupled with mindful movement inspired her to seek more education through RYT-200 training. She specializes in hatha, power, and vinyasa flow and enjoys a vigorous practice to get her heart pumping. When not teaching yoga, she works for The GardenWorks Project, a local hunger assistance organization, and serves at her church as a worship leader. She lives with her husband and three children on a farmette in Wayne. 200hr Certified. At the club since: 2015
Julie Rollins has been teaching at WSC as an AEA certified aquatic instructor since 2019, but her participation in the water goes back as far as she can remember. She taught swimming while in high school and had her Red Cross Life Guard Certification while her children were in school. Julie has been involved as a participant in water classes since 2004. Prior to becoming an aquatic instructor Julie worked as a register nurse. At the club since: 2019
