Amy Kerman-Gutzmer is an E-RYT 200 and has been teaching yoga since 2010. She teaches a variety of styles of yoga including hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative. She has specialized training in exercise cancer survivors and energy healing. She is also currently working on a 25 hour certification to be completed in July 2020 for the Yoga Trapeze.

Annie Ittersagen has been teaching at the club for over 5 years and has been a member since early childhood. She has a love and passion for all things health/wellness/fitness. Shes AFAA certified and enjoys teaching both studio and water group exercise classes.

Betty Basista Ronaldson, an AFAA-Certified Group Exercise Instructor since 2007, holds specialty certifications in Zumba Fitness, Aquatic Exercise, and Barre Fitness. Motivating members with her positive and energetic teaching style, Betty encourages daily participation in a variety of exercise modalities to achieve a sense of personal well-being and holistic health. Betty teaches Spanish at Wheaton North High School and enjoys traveling, biking, kayaking, jogging, weight lifting, and playing piano.

Carrie Provost comes to the Sport Center with an eclectic resume – her primary career is as an orchestra conductor and violinist in the DuPage Symphony Orchestra. Yoga has become an integral part of Carrie’s life since she started taking classes 15 years ago at the Sport Center. She was inspired to complete the 200 hour teacher training in order to help others experience yoga’s benefits! She also recently became certified with the Aquatic Exercise Association.

With 35 years of AFFA fitness certification, Gail has been a WSC Instructor since 2007. She is certified in mat-based Pilates by Physical Mind Institute. She holds a Peak Pilates Certification for all Refomer apparatuses for comprehensive beginner and intermediate levels. Gail is available to teach private, semi-private, and group sessions.

Jaime Sessions has been at WSC since 2016. She holds certifications with AAFA, Mad Dogg Athletics, TRX, CRT, and Barre Above. Jaime enjoys training for triathlons and spending time with her three children.

Jessica has been with the Wheaton Sport Center since 2015. She has been teaching dance fitness and general strength classes for 9 years and is currently in the process of obtaining her Yoga certification and Barre certification. She lives in Warrenville with her family.

Joan Bry teaches Senior Fitness and Water Aerobics. She has been certified through ACE since 1992. She is also a Silver Sneakers Specialist. She loves teaching this age group as she will be 65 very soon! Her favorite exercise is Sit to Stand Squats as they are so important!

I’ve been teaching group exercise classes since 1981 when I first became a Jacki Sorensen instructor. In 1993 I became ACE certified and have taught a toning class for many years. Then I got into biking, which led me to cycling classes.

Katie Murphy became a group ex instructor 10 years ago, drawn to the industry by her love of fitness, health, and people. A kindergarten teacher in her pre-mom life, the gym allowed her the flexibility to be a military spouse and keep working across 3 out of state moves. Her husband Jaime retired from the Navy in 2017 and their family moved back to his hometown of Wheaton and the Sport Center. Katie enjoys teaching several formats, including intervals, strength, cardio, and barre.

Lorrie has been an AFAA certified instructor for 36 years with 22 of those at the Wheaton Sport Center. Her certifications include: step, kickboxing, cycle, POUND, core board, Bosu, Pilates, CRT, and Barre. With a husband who played semi pro basketball and five children who all played a multitude of sports at many levels, Lorrie knows the importance of being fit in order to perform at each individual’s personal best. “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”

Mary Schwerin has been a yoga instructor at WSC for 16 years. She loves taking a variety of yoga classes and any type of fitness class. By day she is a Business Development Manager for a technology consulting company and she loves the balance of ending Mondays by teaching yoga. She loves working with participants of all levels, especially those new to the mind body experience.

Moraima Bogdonoff, “Mo” for short, is a Zumba instructor certified since 2009. She came to the USA from Mexico in 1990 to attend Kendall College and study Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. After running her own catering business and having four kids, she ventured into the fitness world. She teaches Zumba, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, and Water Aerobics classes. She loves to teach the classes with her favorite kinds of music because the beats make the workout so fun you almost forget you’re working hard! It’s like a party! Her favorite move is the hip side to side.

Fitness has always been an important part of Sue’s life. After several years of working out at a variety of facilities, she became certified and began teaching group fitness classes. Sue believes in keeping fitness fun and diverse, teaching a wide range of class formats including aqua, dance, strength, and cardio.

Susan has been a yoga practitioner for 30 years. In the fall of 2003, she received her 200 hour certification from The Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago and has since been teaching yoga at the WSC. Yoga continues to be a life fulfilling practice for her and as an instructor she loves sharing her experience and enthusiasm with the members.

Certified in AFAA, MADD Dog Athletics for Cycling, Advanced Les Mills, Body Pump, CPR. Berner has been coaching/instructing at WSC for four years and has been in the fitness industry for 12 years. In her spare time, she enjoys family time outdoors. She also competes in triathlons from the sprint distance to full Ironman at the local level as well as on the world stage.
