From the Chess Board to the Tennis Court

Wheaton Sport Center and Chess-Now Ltd. have teamed up to get you ready for playing chess and tennis this summer. Good tennis players know that the mental side of the game can win or lose matches. Improve your on-court game by learning to play chess.

Designed for beginning/intermediate chess players, students will cover basic strategy and tactics as well as review classic games from the past.  Enrollment is limited, preference is given to players in the tennis program, but other members are eligible to register on a space permitting basis. Enrollees should attend the 1st 3 classes to make sure they have the fundamentals for continuing the course.

Ages: 5-21
Cost: $15/class
