Coach Sue Brodie has had extensive playing and coaching experience. She played four years Division I basketball (1976-1980) at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where she played under Doug Bruno, Current Women’s Basketball Coach. Sue received the first of two full Women’s Athletic Scholarships at DePaul in 1976. In February, 2001, Sue was inducted into the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame. She has actively coached at the Doug Bruno’s girls basketball summer camps for many years in addition to coaching various girls and boys teams including AAU teams such as the Wheaton Flames and Gold Rush. Sue is an IHSA Certified Basketball Referee/Official. This is Sue's second Season as 5th Grade Power Coach.
Coach Andy Blake has had eleven years of experience coaching youth basketball. He was the head coach for various Wheaton & Winfield park district and YMCA K-6 teams as well as Illinois Basketball Academy middle school level "A" travel teams. Andy was the Assistant coach for various teams including Wheaton Vipers and Dupage Training Academy 5th & 6th grade travel teams. He has four children (two boys & two girls) ranging in age from 11 to 20. His coaching philosophy is to create an atmosphere of fun while learning the game of basketball. Winning comes second to player skill development and learning to play as a team.
