The Wheaton Heat is a travel basketball team for 8th graders. Each team consists of 8-10 players. The Wheaton Heat will compete against other travel teams in Bulls Academy League. Teams are coached by Mike Thomas. The teams practice twice weekly on Monday & Thursday evenings & participate in the Bulls League in Lisle from September 5 - October 26. Games will be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Some of the skills learned include ball handling, shooting, dribbling, team & individual skills, blocking out, passing, rebounding, and offensive & defensive moves. The 8th grade Fall 2008 season begins the week of August 18th.
