Jenny Woyahn, Jr. Tennis Director, Tennis Professional Jenny previously spent 7 years at Midtown Palatine as a Tennis Professional/Jr. Tennis Director where she focused on 10 & Under programming but also taught Adult lessons, Cardio Tennis, Adult Travel Teams and a variety of junior classes. She is a PTR Certified Professional in both 10 & Under and Adult Development and also has her Cardio Tennis Level 2 Certification. Here at Wheaton Sport Center, Jenny brings her expertise in 10 & Under Tennis administration, while she also assists with other junior and adult programs. Jenny was a 4-year Varsity college player at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater where she won 2 conference singles titles and the WIAC Conference Sportsmanship Award in 2008. She also helped her team with two conference titles and qualify for the NCAA Division 3 National Tournament in 2007 & 2008. She has represented the United States in the Deaf Olympics in 2009 and 2013, placing 5th in Mixed Doubles in 2009. She competed for the US in the Davis Cup for Deaf in 2014 where she won a silver medal, and she ranked as high a #10 in the world for Deaf Tennis. At the club since: 2017 |

Leandro Martins, Head Tennis Professional, Tennis Professional
630.315.5344 • lmartins@wheatonsportcenter.comLeandro assists in overseeing the High Performance Green program and WSC's men's travel team program. He is PTR certified and teaches all levels of students from juniors to adults. Leandro grew up as a top junior player in his home country of Brazil, and continued to compete as an adult in men's open tournaments in the United States. He has been coaching tennis since 1996 and his expertise in developing junior players. As a coach he is highly proficient in producing results, which is evident in the achievements of his students who are USTA ranked and compete at the college level. At the club since: 2006 |

Karl Peterson, High Performance Director, Tennis Professional
Karl is a PTR Certified Tennis Professional and has over 30 years of experience in the Chicagoland area. He has been involved in developing programs for adults, USTA and NITTL teams and Juniors that have produced many local, Midwest and nationally ranked players. Karl played tennis at the College of St. Francis and was an All-Conference, All-District and a National Championship participant. He also achieved All-Academic Honors. Karl earned his highest USTA ranking in 1993 when he was ranked #6 in the Midwest in the Mens 25 & under division. He also captained a USTA 9.0 Mixed Doubles Team to the USTA National Championships in 2006.

Idris Smith, Tennis Professional
With over 16 year's experience in the tennis industry, Idris brings a wealth of knowledge to Wheaton Sport Center. He has coached all levels, youth through adults and beginner through nationally ranked players. He has served as a Head Pro, Director of Tennis, and High Performance Director at clubs in Florida, Indiana, Georgia and in the Chicagoland area. He has earned multiple coaching awards and is currently a USTA Midwest Section National Zonal Coach. He is PTR, Cardio Tennis and USTA coaching certified. Idris is excited to share his expertise and love of tennis with WSC juniors and adults.

Matt Roszkowski, Tennis Professional
Matt has been teaching and coaching tennis since 2005 and was an elementary physical education teacher for six years in Florida. He is both a PTR and a USPTA certified professional as well as a licensed physical education teacher. He has coached travel tennis team at Downers Grove Swim & Racquet Club, and was head pro Edgewood Valley Country Club in Burr Ridge. Matt specializes in 10 & Under tennis and his passion for helping children succeed to their fullest potential is what drives him to coach. Matt's tennis philosophy is to create a balance between having fun on the court and learning how to develop proficient tennis skills for all ages.

Anne Mache, Tennis Professional
Anne joined Wheaton Sport Center as a teaching professional in May 2013. She is PTR certified in both 10&Under and Adult Development. Although she teaches players of all ages and abilities, she specializes in 10& Under and Adult lessons. At Courts Plus in Elmhurst she was part of a groundbreaking team that launched the new 10&Under teaching methods of play based instruction with appropriate sized equipment. The Courts Plus program was showcased at the Masters Championship Series held at the United Center in Chicago in 2011. She is the USTA Junior Team Tennis West Suburban League Coordinator and JV Girls Coach at Glenbard South High School. As a junior, Anne was ranked 6th in the Chicago area and top 16 in the state of Illinois and served at the Virginia Slims as a ball girl. She is a member of the Wilson Tennis Advisory Staff.

Joyce Penn, Tennis Professional & Women's Travel Team Asst Joyce received both her B.S. in Physical Education and Master of Education degrees from the University of Illinois. Her first teaching job was at Proviso East in the P.E. Department. Her love of competition earned her national rankings in several age groups in both singles and doubles. Hillary Nelson, Tennis Professional Hillary graduated from Wheaton North High School in 1987. By her senior year, she finished in the top 32. She attended Wheaton College and played in the National Tournament and was inducted into Wheaton College's Hall of Honor in 2007. Hillary played tennis in France after college with the AIA. She taught tennis at Wheaton College's P.E. Department and was the assistant tennis coach at Wheaton College from 1991-1994. Morrie Marino, Tennis Professional
Morrie is a PTR certified Tennis Professional since 2009. Because of his passion for tennis, he has been a student of the game and really enjoys teaching all levels of players. Morrie has been involved in the tennis community for a number of years. He has been a USTA captain and an NITTL coordinator. He has also coordinated in-house leagues and groups at other clubs. Morrie created the online application that is used by the Northern Illinois Traveling Tennis League (NITTL), Greater Suburban Indoor Tennis League (GSITL), and the Fox Valley Women's Tennis League (FVWTL). Jim Nelson, Tennis Professional Nationally ranked junior from the 12' to 18's. Jim grew up in River Forest, Illinois with 10 brothers and sisters who were all nationally ranked and played collegiate tennis. Jim played college tennis at the University of Iowa and was finalist in the Big Ten Singles Championship his freshman year and was a Big Ten Doubles Champion his sophomore year.
