Supervised Swim Procedure

The following is the Wheaton Sport Center Supervised Swim Procedure, effective May 7, 2007. This system is in place to reinforce our policies and ensure the safety and supervision of all children in the pool during all times of Supervised Swim.

Every Child must be physically signed in and out by his/her parent. If a member has guests in supervised swim, they will be required to remain in the pool area.

Children may be signed in and out at any time through-out supervised swim.

An annoucement will be made 10 minutes prior to the end of supervised swim reminding parents they must sign their child out by the end of supervised swim and no later.

In order for children to participate in supervised swim, the Supervised Swim Agreement must be signed in and turned in to the aquatics department.

Lap Pool Policy

Beginning November 1, 2007, the Lap Pool will be used for Adult Lap swimming and WSC sponsored programs only. Dependants under the age of 16 will be allowed to lap swim under direct supervision of their parent or guardian during the following times:

Monday - Friday 2-4pm & 8-9:45pm
Saturday - Sunday 2-6pm

As always, the warm therapy pool is available for all ages during all operational hours.

Under state law, dependants under the age of 16 must have supervision while in the pool area.
